Roman samian vessel
Samian bowl and cup sherds, forms Dr27, Dr29, and Curle 11. S22 and S23 are conjoining sherds of a very small and dainty cup (form Dr27). Thin, deep-pink ware, with a good orange/red gloss. Probably Southern Gaulish but could be Central Gaulish Trajan. S24 is a sherd from a much larger Dr 27 cup in a typical Southern Gaulish fabric - pink with a good red gloss that is now rubbed. S25 is a Curle 11 bowl sherd with a high, flat flange with barbotine decoration. Thin orange/pink ware with a glossy red slip.
