Snuffer tray
Snuffer tray, tin-plate, oblong in form with slightly raised sides and to one side a loop handle, to one end of the tray a raised solid cone on which the snuffer would rest and a triangular rest for the extinguisher; the underside covered with a black japan, the upperside covered with a dark chocolate japan, decorated with an all-over pattern of small stars in crimson and scroll borders in silver to which the varnish has given a golden tinge.
