General view of the lodge at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff, seen from across Cowbridge Road East. Shows the date stone A.D. CDCCCLVII (finished in 1858) and the intertwined initials "SCS" (Sophia Critchton-Stuart) over the doorway. It was destroyed by an enemy bomb in 1941.
