Framed studio photograph of Private L. William Lewis of the Welch Regiment. Oak frame made in two parts, polished and stained. Photograph is encased in an oil based composition moulding featuring an angel carrying two wreaths and two soldiers resting on their guns.
Private Lewis was the son of John and Mary Lewis, Cwmavon. He died of malaria on 11 July 1916 and is buried at the Amara War Cemetery in Iraq.
