Burial Pit; The pit [607] is located 5m NE of linear [594], 0.2m SW of the pit [540]. It was oval in plan with steep straight sides and a concave base. It measured 0.5m in length, 0.6m in width and had a depth of 0.21m. Its fill (608) consisted of a friable dark black, grey silty clay with inclusions of charcoal and cremated human bone. The cremated bone was placed in the centre of the pit.
