Spill vase
Spill-vase, earthenware, thistle-shaped, standing on a spreading pedestal foot, rounded, globular lower body, cylindrical neck, flaring to end in a wide mouth with everted lip rim; transfer-printed in red with to the lower body one group of shells, flowers and foliage and one group of scrolls, flowers and foliage, both groups spreading up onto the upper body, heart and loop dentil border to the exterior lip-rim, to the interior of the vase one group of shells, scrolls, flowers and foliage and one group of scrolls, flowers and foliage.
