Three Quarter Starboard Bow view of M.V ASSE MAERSK, 23 December 1947.

(4600gt) : Built 1919 as KASTALIA by Lithgows Ltd., Port Glasgow, for the Donaldson Line 1936 Sold to G. Chitham & Co., (Ogmore Steamship Co), Cardiff, and renamed TUSKER ROCK. 1937 Sold to Yannaghis Bros., and renamed ARMATHIA. 1952 Sold to Hadoulis Ltd (Nicolas Sittinas & Co), Andros, Greece and renamed CAPTAIN ANTONIOS K. She sank near Algeria on the 1st March 1954 after developing a leak while carrying coal from Newport, Mon to Taronto. (Tony Allen’s Wrecksite)
