Saucer of soft-paste porcelain with slightly green translucency (poor translucency through the thickly potted base); clear glaze, crazed; standing on a straight-sided ground footrim, with curved sides spreading very slightly at the rim; enamelled in the 'Hans Sloane' manner with a large blue iris and a small butterfly, the rim edged with a chocolate brown line.
