Morris, W.E. (Demonstrating weaver at the Welsh Folk Museum (Esgair Moel woollen mill). He joined the Museum's staff in 1952 after working at various mills in west Wales, and as works manager at Meirion Mills, Dinas Mawddwy.)
Check design consisting of black double lines, intersecting to give 1½" squares, on oatmeal background. With multi-coloured border and fringe in black and white. The pattern is based on a design woven at Esgair Moel before the mill was relocated to the Welsh Folk Museum. An example of the work of W. E. Morris, weaver at the Welsh Folk Museum.
