Cream tureen, cover,and stand, white porcelain, good translucency,lustrous glaze with slight grey tinge; circular, shallow vase-form tureen standing on a spreading foot, curving in at the shoulders to a low bell-shaped cover with a pinecone knop, two spindle handles, on curving supports, rising from mask terminals; stand on shallow footrim, with discoloured vertical firing cracks, plain spreading rim, band of moulded acanthus leaves around the well; decorated with a band of brightly coloured garden flowers, reserved against a gold ground between gilt lines around the body and the rim of the stand, repeated on the cover, gilt line to foot, band of gilt diaper to lower part of body, band of gilt anthemions, shaded bell flowers and foliage around the shoulders, handles parcel gilt, band of gilt diaper below the gilt knop.
