Prehistoric bone spatula
Spatula or weaving beater made from the longitudinally split rib of a large mammal, now in three joiing pieces. The rib has been carefully shaped at its terminal and faceted in to a straight end. A small perforation has been drilled from both sides for suspension. Below this there is a slight waist before the spatula flares out again then narrows to a blunt rounded point (damaged).
