Dish, dessert
Boat-shaped oval centre dish, soft-paste porcelain, 'duck egg' type with a greenish translucency, lustrous grey-tinged glaze, irredescent around the enamels. Standing on a shallow foot rim, lobed and grooved sides, and extended waved handles, gilt line to the foot, exterior decorated below the rim with a continuous band of hatched and shaded gilding, comprising fluted vases with conical covers alternating with arabesques, floriate scrolls and florets between two gilt lines, same gilding pattern repeated on the interior, gilt shell and bell flower ornament to the handles, the centre painted with a large red and cream tulip amid fly honeysuckle (Lonicera xylosterom) and grasses.
