Pair of shoes worn by a member of the Women's Land Army in Builth Wells, 1943-45. Lace up shoe, paired with F89.139.1. Rounded toe, uppers of brown leather. Five sets of lace eyelets, brown cotton laces (odd), tongue stitched to vamp, quarters triple stitched to vamp with lapped seam. Narrow, shaped back strap covering seam. Stitched leather sole and solid heel. Nail reinforcements in sole. Nail and heel iron on heel.
