Tea bowl and saucer

Tea bowl and saucer, hard-paste porcelain, tea bowl standing on a foot rim, flared sides, everted lip; decorated in monochrome black enamel, on one side with a ship with its sails up in the centre, two figures sitting on harbour to left, three figures watching on right, the other side with two figures in foreground with barrels on left, three figures to left overlooking water, both within gilt and purple lustre cartouches with purple and gilt scrolling, joined with two purple tear-shaped scenes, bottom decorated with a purple spray of flowers surrounded by two purple concentric circles, ornamental gilt border to inner lip. Saucer standing on a foot rim, spreading sides, everted lip; decorated in monochrome black with a landscape in the centre, figure walking over a bridge to house on right, carrying a pedlar's pack, within gilt and purple lustre cartouche with purple and pink scrolling, ornamental gilt border to lip, three iron-red concentric lines to underside.
