Scroll plate shred, i.e. the coil tinplate after the discs that will form lids have been punched out; this is scrap that was sold to detinning works where the tin was chemically stripped from the steel substrate, the reclaimed tin and scrap steel being sold. Part of a collection of samples of the production stages of manufacturing ‘Easy Lift’ pull-tab ‘full aperature’ tinplate can manufacture from Metal Box works, Neath, 1980s, manufactured from tinplate made at one of Ebbw Vale Works, Trostre Works, Llanelli or Velindre Works, Morriston.
