Cover for a tureen, pale cream-coloured earthenware with a grey-green tinge to the glaze, round domed form with moulded rim and to the top a finial modelled in the form of a flower with a stem and leaves, a semi-circular indentation to the rim at one side, the top of the cover ornamented with an elaborate pattern of fine pierce-work in a cruciform arrangement of floral designs; left a pale cream colour and glazed. A crack to one side of the cover.
