Pot, coffee and cover
Baker, Bevans and Irwin, Glamorgan Pottery (1813-1839)
Coffee pot, earthenware, urn-shaped with spreading pedestal foot, bulbous body tapering inwards at the shoulder, cylindrical neck, curving spout with ribbed moulding to its lower section, loop handle with several small outerr spurs and foliate moulding along its length, high domed cover flaring at the rim and rising to an acorn finial at the top; transfer-printed in red with the 'Vine' pattern, a continous design of vine leaves and grapes covering the foot, the body, the neck, the top of the spout, the handle and the cover, border of arching scrolls to the foot-rim, the shoulder, the lip-rim and the rim of the cover.
