Candlestick, earthenware, columnar form with spreading foot with a raised band around it, cylindrical body with a raised band around the bottom and top of it, shelving inwards at the shoulder before bulging out again and then flaring out to a broad everted rim; the decoration reserved against a black enamel ground so that the red earthenware body is revealed, this then transfer-printed in black with to the main cylindrical body a group of winged cupids with torches and arrows, a running border to the foot-rim of leaves issuing small clusters of fruit, a radiating tongue border to the upper part of the foot, border of black circular dots on a red ground to the lower part of the cylindrical body, elongated egg and dart border with a band of red circular dots to the upper part of the cylindrical body, border of black circular dots on a red ground to the neck, the upper rim with a radiating tongue border.
