"Entrance to Chapel in Mynydd Newydd Pit. Swansea". At the Mynydd Newydd Pit, near Swansea, an underground chapel was constructed in about 1845 near pit bottom and services were regularly held. The photograph shows officials and workmen at the entrance to this chapel.
