Saucer, soft-paste porcelain, inset base and straight flaring sides; the upperside covered with a deep blue ground and decorated with gilt with to either side of the well a bird enclosed by an elaborate rococo border, two small insects to the sides of the well between these two panels, a small sprig to the centre of the well, a gilt line around the rim.
