Sampler made in Belgium, mid 1800s.
Canvas, embroidered with coloured wools in cross stitch. At the top, commencing with a cross, are the letters of the alphabet. Below are the letters E.D.W.K.Z; a monstrance between two candlesticks bearing lighted candles; flowering plants and eight squares of geometric design. With a varying floral border.
