Oral history recording with Pete Jones. Recorded as part of the MENCAP Hidden Now Heard project showcasing the hidden heritage of people with a learning disability in Wales. A three year project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and Welsh Government, capturing the hidden and often painful living memories of former residents and staff from six of Wales’s long-stay hospitals.

Born in Bangor, Pete Jones completed a degree in Fine Art at Loughborough College of Art & Design (via Chester School of Art) in 1983. He then spent thirty five years working in the NHS as a learning disability nurse. His first solo exhibition was held at Oriel Ynys Mon in 2019.
