Sugar bowl, deep cream-coloured earthenware, standing on a spreading waisted straight-sided foot-rim, rounded sides; the exterior of the bowl covered with silver lustre, this then decorated using lustre resist techniques with around the sides a number of motifs including a snake and a grasshopper or scorpion, a narrow cream band around the lip-rim, a plain silver lustre band around the interior lip-rim. Several narrow cracks to one side of the bowl.
