Basket
Cylindrical lidded basket with two brass handles. Hinges and clasp of brass. Constructed in lip-working technique with coils of cane bound with split cane. Reputed to be "Navajo Indian" work, the preferred name today is Diné (meaning 'The People'). Originally a tea-pot basket, but used as a lunch basket on a stage coach.
