Welsh costume hat
Tall hat, tall sloping crown, covered with black beaver silk; sides of crown lined with original lining paper, top of crown lined with silk,stamped: CARVER & CO. LATE DALE & CO. / BEST QUALITY. Inner band lining of machine quilted silk, interlined with cotton and lined with cotton muslin, with drawstring. Later silk velvet ribbon tie stitched to lining. Hat band of silk and velvet ribbon intertwined.
