Cornish beam pumping engine model
A finely detailed electric powered half inch to one foot scale display model of a house built Cornish pumping engine originally built by Harvey's of Hayle in 1863. Modelled by J.R. Baker, with wood lagged brass-bound cylinder, cylinder head lubricator, rod driven gab and lever operated plug valves with seperate steam ways, the inlet pipe ending with a flange, the beam with wall mounted trunnions, simple parallel motion, metal braced wooden pump rod and rod driven condensate and bucket force pump. The engine is mounted within a cutaway simulated stone house with three floors with stairs and bannisters, external hand rails, windows and half roof with 240V supply to motor mounted within the wooden base, the whole finished in various colours.
