The 5,102 gross ton Jalausha was owned by the Bombay-based Scindia Steam Navigation Co. Ltd, having been built by her owners at their Vizagapatam yard in 1948. Established in 1919, the company ran a regular cargo service from various Indian ports to Europe. This view was taken as the vessel approached the Roath Basin lock, c.1949.
