Stand, bone china, oval shape with inset base and spreading sides extending slightly at either end, a raised oval platform to the centre of the well with a raised ridge around it; transfer-printed in red with to the sides of the well Chinese-style mythical four-legged beasts with staring eyes, fangs, horn-like ears, prominent backbones, feathery tails and clawed feet, scrolling red banners surround the beasts, a gilt edge to the rim.
