Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
Plate, soft-paste porcelain of brownish translucency, standing on a straight-sided tapering foot rim, cushion-moulded sides with up-curving rim, the rim shaped with six large and six pairs of small lobes, this echoed in the shaped edge of the well; the rim moulded in relief with scrolling leaves at the edge and three redcurrant sprigs (groseilles), the well painted in enamels with two exotic birds in a landscape, the three unmoulded sections of the rim painted with single exotic birds among plants, the edge of the rim lined with gilt dentils (dents de loup). Two restored chips, one at 6 o'clock, one at 8 o'clock.
