A letter (dated 16th July 1914) from the Pen-yr-Orsedd Slate Quarry Co. Limited to Colthurst a Co. (donor’s family run business - timber merchants), acknowledging their order of slates. The letter notes that the quarry’s price list is enclosed, off which a 25% discount is available (the 1907 price list has been deposited by the donor). The letter is printed on cream paper. The donor’s family were timber merchants in Taunton, Somerset. They supplied timber and slate to local builders and merchants, and as a result acquired a collection of slate price lists.
