Pedlar doll

leather-faced pedlar doll carrying wares and attached to wooden stand; doll has beaded eyes and real hair and wears quilted petticoat of glazed cotton; linen apron, beneath which is tied a large pocket, cotton bodice, red woollen-hooded cape, khaki silk bonnet and black leather shoes; she is holding a brush and lamp in right hand and in left a string basket on metal frame which includes leather gloves, feather quills, cotton braces, a string bag and tinplate kitchenware (kept in glass dome /2)

Pedlars were travelling vendors who travelled towns and villages selling their wares.
