Full title:- The Reminiscences and Historical Notes of Alderman W.J. Trounce J.P. 1850-1860. "Cardiff in the Fifties" book, containing information relating to industrial, social and policital history of Cardiff during the 1850s. 86-page book, printed in black ink on cream paper. Beige paper/thin card cover containing black printed details. The book contains several black and white photographs and printed illustrations.

Also found loose within the book are nine newspaper cuttings showing: 1. photo of Queen Street, Cardiff in the 1890's 2. photo of Cardiff Dock sidings 3. photos of Llantwit Major and Beaupre Castle 4. Article on Cardiff castle with 3 photos of Duke Street, high street and St Mary's Street 5. photo showing a plane crashed at Llandow in 1950 killing 80 passengers returning from a rugby international in Ireland 6. Article on Georgian house opposite St John's Church, Cardiff. 7. cutting showing an illustrated engraving of Cardiff in 1748. 8. photo of Cardiff Docks East Basin 1879/1880 9. Three photos and two illustrations showing High Street and Queen Street, Llandaff Mill and Cardiff Bridge.
