Coffee cup, soft-paste 'duck egg' porcelain; standing on a rounded foot rim, London shape, with a curvaceous ogee handle; painted with set pattern 219 - a Japanese influenced design of dark underglaze blue border with groups of iron red and white chrysanthemums and gilt foliage and scrolls, divided by oval reserves of flower bouquets on a salmon pink ground, inside the cup; on exterior, an underglaze blue motif of a cactus-like flower, crossed by a dark blue and gilt band, amongst stylised flowers and foliage; gilt band to foot rim, lip, and handle.
