Teapot and cover
Teapot and cover, hard-paste porcelain, cylindrical body with a flattened shoulder that narrows in at an angle toward a vertical cylindrical neck, curved spout, loop handle with a scrolled base terminal, flat cover with a steam hole and with a conical-shaped finial that has curved sides and a pointed tip; the finial is gilded, the edges of the cover, spout, handle, shoulder, neck, rim and base of the teapot are decorated with gilt bands, the spout and the handle are decorated with gold ornament, the shoulder and the neck are decorated with a continuous border of gilt leaves, painted with birds perching on gold branches.
