Late Bronze Age / Early Iron Age iron sickle
the socket, oval in section and with a pair of rivet-holes, is set at right angles to the curving carburized iron blade, which has a heavy central rib. Remains of the wooden haft survive in the socket. At the mouth of the socket there is a double-grooved iron ring.
