Hay baler

Jones Balers Ltd.

Jones Minor Mk2 baler, fully automatic twine tying 'pick-up' type with power take-off drive; traditional Jones colours with usual transfer on bodywork; cross feed is by rollerchain, with self-cleaning retractable tine and an automatic bale counter; mounted on an axle with 2 pneumatic wheels; brass plate inscribed with details of specifications recommended lubricants, etc.

Tyres are of different types and sizes, on the towing side is a very worn Dunlop 5.50 - 16 with 3 ribs and on the rotor side is an India Trailer Implement 6.00 - 16 with 5 ribs. The hinges for the cover for the knotter assembly have been replaced with wire loops. Red paint on the edges of the copper alloy makers plate indicates that the baler may have been repainted at least in places after manufacture.
