Morfa copper works, photograph
Photograph captioned 'Morfa Copper Works, Swansea. The way into the works is across the old canal bridge beyond which is the original office building. In the centre is the bay roof of the former power house of the works of Vivian and Sons. The works now produces non-ferrous and bi-metal plates and tube plates. The Morfa Copper Works was established for the smelting and rolling of copper (and afterwards silver) in 1834. The adjoining works of the Vivians, known as Hafod works, was started in 1810. The canal bridge is said to date from 1800.' Mounted on card. Made for the exhibition RECORDING WALES 3 in 1970/1971.
