Doll made from a shoe, 1905
A doll made from a man's leather shoe (black), heel forming the head with hobnails on the outer edge and pieces of paper stuck on to form eyes, mouth and nose. A fabric sock (black) for hair with a lace trimmed mob cap (cream), probably made from undergarments. Limbs made from stuffed fabric (black). The doll wears a black underskirt, a dress made from cotton printed with red and cream pattern, and a cotton apron (cream).
