Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales
A Welsh Folk Museum Answer Book, 1958, received from David Jones of Dyffryn Ardudwy, containing detailed notes on agricultural terms used mainly in the Ardudwy area. These are sometimes shown with their counterparts from the Eifionnydd region. The notes were written on behalf of David Jones by H.J. Hughes, Harlech. Answer Books were sent out by the Welsh Folk Museum in 1958 to individuals across Wales as a way of collecting and documenting information on aspects of folk culture in their areas, including agriculture, crafts, food, customs and dialects. The responses were hand-written in the books. The Answer Books had a similar purpose to the earlier questionnaires sent out in 1937.
