Nodiadau teipiedig gan Lewis Williams, Treharris, tua 1962, yn ateb i Holiadur Amgueddfa Werin Cymru ar arferion yn gysylltiedig â marw a chladdu yn ardal Corris tua 1894. Anfonwyd Llyfrau Ateb gan Amgueddfa Werin Cymru at unigolion ar draws Cymru er mwyn casglu a chofnodi gwybodaeth am agweddau o ddiwylliant gwerin yn eu hardaloedd yn cynnwys amaeth, crefftau, bwyd, arferion a thafodiaith. Mae’r ymatebion wedi eu hysgrifennu â llaw yn y llyfrau. Roedd y Llyfrau Ateb yn ddilyniant i’r holiaduron a anfonwyd ym 1937.
Additional notes by Lewis Williams, Treharris, circa 1962, see also MS 1902, as a response to a Welsh Folk Museum Answer Book on the subject of burial and death customs. The notes relate to these traditions in the Corris area i 1894. Answer Books were sent out by the Welsh Folk Museum to individuals across Wales as a way of collecting and documenting information on aspects of folk culture in their areas, including agriculture, crafts, food, customs and dialects. The responses were hand-written in the books. The Answer Books had a similar purpose to the earlier questionnaires sent out in 1937.
