Cup, cabinet
Cabinet cup, soft-paste 'trident' porcelain with a yellow-orange translucency; standing on a straight sided foot rim, indented above, slightly tapered cylindrical shape, with a pronounced flared lip; snake headed high loop handle fixed to the rim, the tail joined to the cup in two places and terminating with a snake head; unusually painted with large stylised flowers, incuding a pink rose, banded by wide gilt bands; gilt foot rim and lip, gilt handle, and gilt arcaded border inside lip with three-petalled pendants.
