Numair Masud and Rania Vamvaka of Glitter Cymru during the first Welsh BAME Pride. This Pride was organised by Glitter Cymru, and held on 10 August 2019 at Cathays Community Centre, Cardiff.
Numair stated "The ball gag is worn to signify the plight of many LGBT+ individuals from countries in which being a member of the LGBT+ community is against the law and where free expression is literally gagged. Numair hails from just such a country, which is why he claimed asylum in the UK. The mask symbolises a cover that LGBT+ individuals have to adopt for fear of their lives being threatened."
