Cup, cabinet
Cabinet cup, soft-paste 'duck egg' porcelain with a greenish translucency; standing on a shallow, narrow pedestal foot, slender curved shape with concave and flared upright collar, above beaded moulding; tall bow handle with a lion-head mask and an acanthus leaf at its upper end; painted in polychrome enamels with an octagonal cartouche of flowers lying on a marble pedestal against a brown background, including poppy, tulip, auriculas and a rose; gilt leaf and anthemion border below collar, gilt seaweed pattern on collar and on lower half of cup; gilt detail to handle, gilt foot rim and lip, gilt line and leaf border inside lip.
