Pot, coffee and cover
Coffee pot and cover, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a foot rim, pear-shaped body, folded spout, scroll handle, domed cover with pagoda-shaped finial; gilt burnished ground, the sides with two pear-shaped, rococo, white reserves surrounded by a gilt, tooled, ornamental border; decorated mainly in puce monochrome with flesh coloured enamels, one side with a female figure seated to the right holding a lute whilst a man kneels beside her, four figures behind, dog in foreground, vase and trees behind, other side with two embracing couples and a male figure in a landscape, a female to the right holds sheet music for a reclined male facing away playing the lute, trees behind, cover decorated with two shaped reserves, one of a female with her hand to a male's chin, the other of two females in a landscape, one holding a fan in one hand, her other hand raised to her forehead.
