Diazo-type technical drawing on linen (hand-coloured) of Telpher travelling bridge coal handling plant at Nobel's Explosives Factory, Pembrey, 1916. Drawing No. W3829. Scale 3/16" = 1ft. The plant was located in the north east part of the factory, adjacent to the main power plant.
The donor's grandfather, William Paris (c.1892-1945) was employed at the works during the First World War as a professional engineer and saved these drawings when the factory closed in the early 1920s. Thereafter he worked at Stephen’s Silica Brick Works at Kidwelly as an engineer until his death.
