WOOLLEN CANVAS, embroidered with coloured silks in cross stitch. At the top, in four rows separated by wavy stripes, are capital and small letters of the alphabet and numerals to 13. Below is the following verse, the lines being interspersed with floral wavy stems and narrow bands of geometric ornament:
"When traces of obedient love In early dawn of life appears These oft a sure foundation prove To crown the hopes of rising years
Each leisure hour is well employ'd In grace and virtue to increase Nor indolence nor sullen pride Disturb the growing social peace."
Along the bottom are numerals to 19.
