Vase and cover, soft-paste porcelain, short cylindrical body with a bowl-shaped base that has moulded petal-shaped indentations around it, supported on a stem that is attached to a circular pedestal base, with a long trumpet-shaped neck that has a flared rim, domed cover with a flattened rim and with a finial in the shape of vine leaves and grapes; decorated with a blue ground, the finial is brass, the edges are banded with gold borders, the neck and the cylindrical body are reserved with a panel on either side depicting harbour scenes and French court life, the panels are framed by gold rococco borders and applied jewelled beaded borders, the stem and the cover are banded with a continuous leaf border in gold and applied jewelled beaded borders, the side of the pedestal base is banded with a leaf and dot border.
