Mug, bone china with a blue-green tinged translucency; standing on a rounded foot rim, indented and ridged above, cylindrical form, and loop handle with leaf moulding; painted on the front with the inscription 'HARRIET ELLEN SIMS / BORN 16TH NOVR / 1839', in gilt, flanked by two polychrome, loosely arranged flower sprays; gilt band to foot rim, gilt lip, and gilt decoration to the handle.
