Mug, greyish hard paste (?) porcelain, yellowish translucency, standing on a square section foot rim, cylindrical, with ear-shaped handle, scale- moulded, with leaf thumbpiece, painted on either side with a red breasted naturalistic bird on a branch, laurel wreath below lip; handle and lip picked out in chocolate brown enamel, brown line above base.
