Teapot and cover
Earthenware slip cast teapot, Kestrel shape, body of globular form with widest point midway; curved convex spout with four distinct sides, upper and lower sides longer and modelled to form a yawning mouth; long loop handle joined 1 cm above foot and just below rim. Low dome shaped cover, standing on a high conical foot with a small triangular piece of clay on either side, steam hole, semi circular knop pulled forward. Light honey coloured, crazed glaze. Broad band of Tango orange enamel around base of pot, four narrow graduated black enamel bands above, the widest next to the orange; sides and interior of spout, upper side of handle, and the cover all painted orange. Sides of knop painted black. Mould line on spout.
